CSVBRIEF / YOUR EXPORT, UNDERSTOOD
Less spreadsheet.
More perspective.
Turn your own sales CSV into a clear monthly amount summary.
01 / START WITH YOUR EXPORT
Bring the numbers.
UTF-8, comma-separated CSV · up to 5,000 data rows / 5 MiB · at least date, product and gross-amount columns.
02 / BE EXPLICIT
Map what each column means.
Nothing is inferred. Choose the column that contains your export’s gross amount, not fees or payouts. Other columns are ignored.
Amounts: decimal point, digits and optional leading minus only. Negative rows are refund adjustments; amounts are never rounded. A currency column, when present, must match your chosen code in every row. Without one, you are declaring every row uses that currency.
Fix these records in the source file.
No partial totals or cleaned export are produced when any row is invalid. Record numbers include the header; quoted line breaks do not start a new record.
Some rows look the same.
Matches use date, trimmed product, exact amount and currency—not order IDs. They may be legitimate transactions. To remove accidental copies, edit your source CSV and load it again. Nothing is removed automatically.
03 / SEE THE PATTERN
Your monthly amount brief.
This is a summary of the mapped export amounts—not profit, net payout, tax, bookkeeping or a verified revenue figure. Negative rows adjust totals in the month of their own date.
Month by month
Change compares the immediately preceding calendar month only. Zero, negative or absent prior totals show “Not available”. Percentages round to two decimals; money never does.
| Month | Rows | Positive amounts | Negative adjustments | Signed total | Change |
|---|
Product comparison
Sorted by signed amount. Bar lengths compare absolute amounts; minus signs and labels distinguish negative totals. All products appear below and in print.
| Product | Rows | Signed total | Amount comparison |

Limits, exact arithmetic & privacy
One currency per file. Supported: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD and CHF (2 decimals); JPY and KRW (0); BHD, KWD and OMR (3). No conversion or combining currencies. Up to 15 whole digits per amount. No decimal rounding, thousands separators, currency symbols, scientific notation or accounting parentheses. Zero rows count as data rows.
Dates must match your chosen format and a real calendar day, in years 0001–9999. Timestamps and time zones are not supported. Product labels are case-sensitive and trimmed; they must be nonblank and single-line, up to 160 characters. Header labels must be unique, single-line, up to 120 characters. Maximum 100 columns and 2,000 characters per cell. Extra source columns are ignored by the summary.
All invalid rows block the entire summary. Duplicate-looking mapped rows block the report until you explicitly keep all of them. No order-ID reconciliation, deduplication, refund matching, fee calculations, tax treatment or import back into a payment platform.
There is no auto-save. Work stays in memory; refreshing or closing loses it. Downloads contain your source data and are not encrypted—keep them private. Project files include original columns, even ones ignored by the report. Cleaned CSV includes only the mapped fields and source record number. Formula-like product text is prefixed with an apostrophe for spreadsheet safety; preserve that protection when re-exporting.
Use a current desktop browser with BigInt support. Browser visuals, native downloads and print pagination still require real-browser verification; review every exported file and printed page.
